Calling all snow riders!!!

Back in the fall I got to chatting with some of my friends and we soon realized that there were a large group of us that like to ski or snow board and even a few who haven't ridden snow before but were interested in learning.  So I set forth planning a ski/winter holiday.  This was no small feat as our group quickly grew to 13 people wanting to go!!  I narrowed it down to two possible locations in France and set out to find accommodations.  Well I found a great chalet in Morzine, France that could accommodate all 13 of us and had availability when we were available.  I set the ball rolling and it all came together nicely.

Fast forward a few months and it was time to hit the slopes!!

We arrived in Geneva on Sunday March 3 and were shuttled to our chalet in Morzine. We had a few hours before check in and so we ventured into town to grab some lunch.  We ended up at a little pizza restaurant that little did we know would be our daily stopping ground post skiing.

Our chalet came staffed with our Chalet Angels, David and Amy.  They cooked our breakfast, cleaned the chalet, set out afternoon tea and baked goods, provided pre-dinner drinks and appetizers, and a 4 course meal 6 of the 7 nights.  What more could you ask for!!!  They were even great at providing me very creative gluten free options for the meals.

Afternoon tea and baked goods... those two puffs on the left are my
gluten free option, vanilla and chocolate meringue and they were great!!!

An example of one of our dinners.

Wednesday is the off day for all chalet angels and we were on our own for that day.  No problem, we are all adults who can fend for ourselves... right?  Breakfast was on our own, which meant eating french pastries sans cooked egg.  Dinner was spent at a local restaurant eating fondue, cause why would you come to the home of fondu and have anything else??

Fondue anyone?

Besides a broken knee and a lost lift pass (not by me), both on the first day, I had a great trip with amazing friends!!! I hope to make this a yearly occurrence!!
